HIGH-QUALITY MILK FROM TRUSTED FARMS

We start with high-quality milk from trusted regional farmers, giving every cheese a great foundation and supporting farmers close to our dairy.

SMALL-BATCH WELSH CHEESE

Made in small batches at our family-run dairy in South East Wales, giving us the opportunity to focus on what matters most, developing great flavour, texture and quality in every cheese.

EVERY CHEESE HAS A STORY

Our cheeses are named after the places, people and history around us, from Chartist history and Roman Caerleon to the mountains around Abergavenny. There's a story behind every cheese.

Meet the Makers Behind the Cheese

We’re a small, family-run dairy in South East Wales, making cheese the way we believe it should be made - in small batches, with plenty of care and attention to detail.

Usk Valley Dairy began with a simple idea: to create distinctive Welsh cheeses that celebrate the places and stories around us. From developing recipes and making the cheese to turning, maturing and packing every wheel, our family is involved at every stage.

We’ve kept things deliberately small and hands-on, allowing us to take pride in what we make and stay close to the cheese from the first make to the finished wheel. For us, that means doing things properly, continually learning and always looking for ways to make our cheeses better.

INFUSED WITH HERITAGE, MADE TO STAND OUT

Great cheese starts with great milk. We work with trusted regional farmers to source high-quality milk, which forms the foundation of every cheese we make.

From there, we focus on creating cheeses with real character, carefully selected ingredients, distinctive recipes and hands-on affinage all playing their part in developing flavour, texture and rind.

But our cheeses are about more than what’s inside them. Each name is inspired by the history, landscapes and stories of South East Wales. The result is a range of Welsh cheeses where quality comes first, and every cheese has a story behind it.
