We’re delighted to announce that Usk Valley Cheese Company is now Usk Valley Dairy.
While our name is changing, the people and passion for cheesemaking and our commitment to producing quality Welsh cheese all remain exactly the same.
When we first started our cheesemaking journey, producing artisan cheese was very much at the centre of everything we did. And it still is.
However, as the business has grown, we’ve realised that Usk Valley Cheese Company no longer quite reflects who we are or where we want to go.
We’re a small, family-run dairy, with three of us involved in the day-to-day running of our dairy. From cheesemaking and maturation to packing orders and delivery, there’s a lot that happens behind the scenes. The name Usk Valley Dairy feels like a better reflection of that.
Our cheeses will continue to be made in small batches, with the same care, attention and focus on quality that we've always had. We’ll continue to work with local suppliers and champion Welsh milk and Welsh food. And, most importantly, the same family will still be behind every batch of cheese.
From our award-winning Chartists’ Heritage and Six Peaks to our Blorenge Brie-style cheese and everything still to come, cheesemaking remains at the heart of Usk Valley Dairy.
We’re proud of how far we’ve come, but we’re even more excited about where we can go next. There are plenty of ideas in the pipeline, and our new name gives us the opportunity to explore them while remaining true to the values that got us here in the first place.
A new name, but the same family, the same dairy and the same commitment to making cheese we’re proud of.
